Well after a very early morning I jet-setted my way over to Brisbane. I had a quick stop through Sydney airport and then met Gail in Brisbane at about 2.30pm on Thursday arvo. ( ..note I had been awake since 3am, that morning..) We got picked up on an airport transfer bus into the city, which was such a good idea because it only cost us $14 dollars and they delivered us straight to our hotel..
We decided to stay at a self contained apartment, which was such a good idea because it gave us a lot more room and we were able to do our own brekky and sometimes lunch. M on Mary apartments were situated between the botanical gardens at one end of the city and they main shopping streets of Queen street. So it was just perfect. We went walking most mornings in the Botanical gardens which was so pretty, right down on the river.
The other great thing about having our own apartment is that we were able to sit and do some scrap booking some of the nights.
Here are some of the layouts i did while i was away, they are pretty simple because i was restricted by taking all my stash...LOL
Friday saw us spend nearly 6 and a half hours shopping up a storm in the city.. Oh Boy, can this girl shop..
I got myself some really nice clothes and shoes and bags and well I could go on, but just in case Adam is reading this, i better stop there...ha ha ha!!
Lets just say, we had such a great time shopping most of the weekend..
Saturday was the day we decided to visit the Scrapbook expo..( don't know if that was the best day to go because it was the first day it opened and there were way to many people..) I bought a few little things, but didn't go to crazy. After a few hours we decided enough was enough and headed out of there..
I think what I enjoyed most about this day was a walk from the city over the footbridge and all the way down along the South bank to the Expo. What a gorgeous place to visit. The weather was superb, so that just made it look even more pretty.
I don't even want to think how far we walked that day..but i think it was the best because we got to see so much that i may not of seen of we hadn't.. but Geez our legs were sore that night...LOL
I took this photo of the little beach they have over at South Bank, my boys would of loved this.
I like this photo that Gail took of me.
We stopped at this great little place along the river for some lunch and a glass of wine.. It was the best!
They even had some Markets over on South bank which was great to walk through and look at on our way to the Expo.
Sunday we took a Bus out to Chermside for some more shopping and then spent the arvo watching a movie ( Ghosts of Girlfriends past..) It was pretty good movie, gotta love a good chick flick!
Monday was another day of Pure Indulgence. We caught a bus out to Paddington, ( a great little place...) where Gail had organised a 2 1/2 hour pamper session. We had a body mud wrap and a facial and foot pamper and then an hour of a full body massage.. Oh My God.. It was absolute HEAVEN.....
