Walk a Little Slower Daddy


“Walk a little slower Daddy”, said a child so small.

“I’m following in your footsteps and I don’t want to fall. Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they’re hard to see; so walk a little slower, Daddy, for you are leading me.

Someday when I’m all grown up, you’re what I want to be, then I will have a little child who’ll want to follow me and I would want to lead just right, and know that I was true, so walk a little slower Daddy , for I must follow you”.

On Thursday  night Sam and Adam celebrated Father's Day at his Kindy. The Poem that i used at the top of this post, was the one found inside the card that Sam had made for Adam.  I thought it was so beautiful.  They Played outside, did activities inside, like blocks and puzzles and building Mobilo.  They also got a chance to shave their Daddy with shaving cream and popsticks. Sam made Adam a tie to wear and painted a picture of his Daddy on a canvas.  Sam was so excited ti have his daddy at Kindy for the night.

Photo 365 August ~ Part 2

Now before i show you my photos for the second part of this month, you will notice, that i have a few shots of some places up North, Like Kunnunurra and Lake Argyle.  I had to call on My mum for a few shots to help me fill in a few gaps from this month.  we have all be sick with the coughs and colds and haven't really been taking as many photos as i would normally take.  So I enlisted Mum to send down a few of her photos from their 8 week holiday.  Love the photos mum, looks like you are having an amazing time !

Mum's can't be sick

This is the reason why Mum's can't be sick.  Unfortunately i have been trying to get over this rotten cold and cough that i picked up from Sam last week.  So Adam came home yesterday at lunchtime so i could go to bed and get some sleep. ... But..... within half an hour both the boys were in bed with me eating tiny teddies and wanting my attention...lol..  Isn't it funny how mum's aren't allowed to be sick, they have to just soldier on..lol..

It's ok though, I did kick them out and had an hour and half sleep when they were gone..lol

Have done a little bit of Digi scrapping.  Haven't had a chance to update much of my blog lately.  We seem to have the dreaded colds back in our house again.  Poor Sam has copped a doozy this time around.

Photo 365 August ~ Part 1

Sorry i haven't had a chance to get back on here for a couple of days, life is pretty busy at the moment.  Just trying to catch up on things since we got back from Broome.
Here are my photos for the first part of August..

( after seeing myself in this photo.. i have gone back to weight watchers and have lost 2.3kgs in 3 weeks..yay me!!...)

See this grey chair I am sitting on with Elise.  This is where we were stuck for 10 1/2 hrs at Port Headland airport.  We were diverted there from Broome on our way home to fix a fuel filter problem and it took them most of the night to try and fix it, but then they decided they wouldnt fly the plane and we had to sit for another 2 hrs while we waited for a new plane to be sent up from Perth.  So after leaving Broome at 1pm in the arvo we didn't get home until 3.30am.  It was a very looooooooooooooong day!

Hope you are having a good weekend. Ours has been pretty quiet.  Ive been for a few walks, and Adam has given my bike a once over so i can ride it again.  I haven't ridden it since Bassendean days when Adam and i would take the boys for a ride around the river.

Hope to also do some digi scrapping this arvo.  we'll see if the kids let me...lol

It was worth it!!

I mentioned in my last post that i went on a flying trip up to Broome to surprise my Dad for his 60th birthday.  It was the best surprise ever.  More exciting than i thought it would be.  He was so shocked to see me!  It was priceless...

 Mum and I had kept this surprise secret for over 6 months.  We nearly let it slip sooooooooooo many times.  But Dad said he truly didn't know anything about it.  He said he understood that i had the 3 little kids and there was no way that i could of made it.  Little did he know  i wasn't going to miss it for the world.  It's not every day that your Dad turns 60 now is it!!!

 He had such a great day at the Broome Cup races and had a few good wins on his punts!
