It was worth it!!

I mentioned in my last post that i went on a flying trip up to Broome to surprise my Dad for his 60th birthday.  It was the best surprise ever.  More exciting than i thought it would be.  He was so shocked to see me!  It was priceless...

 Mum and I had kept this surprise secret for over 6 months.  We nearly let it slip sooooooooooo many times.  But Dad said he truly didn't know anything about it.  He said he understood that i had the 3 little kids and there was no way that i could of made it.  Little did he know  i wasn't going to miss it for the world.  It's not every day that your Dad turns 60 now is it!!!

 He had such a great day at the Broome Cup races and had a few good wins on his punts!

That's what i'll tell adam if he tells me off for buying more digital stuff.  Vicki from Tomorrow'sMemories sent me an email this morning showing me the link to Basic Grey's digital online shop.  I bought a couple of templates and this kit called Sublime.  I just loved the grungy pink colours in it.

Photography Course

Monday night I began my 5 week photography course with Sharon manning.  It was a really great night.  We went through the basics of Exposure, Aperture and Shutter speed.   Can't say i have totally grasped them yet..lol.. but I'm working on it.

We even have homework to do before our next class in 2 weeks time.  So will hopefully share with you some of my photos.  That night it was so funny people were just taking random photos of everyone. Here are a few..

We had such a lovely time on Saturday night.  All of the family got together to celebrate Derek's 60th birthday and Claire and Eamon's engagement.  We had a curry night with lots of great food, drinks and cake !  (You can click on the photo layouts and you can probably see the photos larger)

Hope you all have a great week.  I am off to Sharon Manning's photography course " Get your camera off Auto" tonight.  I am so looking forward to it!

A couple of digi layouts to share with you,  Not my greatest, but at least they are done.  I am finding myself starting many digi layouts but just not finishing them.. either because i don't like them, so i delete them...or... i just don't seem to have any motivation to finish them at the moment.

Poo...Bum...Wee...Fart...

I'm a genius.. Ive worked out how to get a gorgeous smile from Nicholas .. just jump him on the tramp, while holding my camera and sing the words poo...bum..wee..fart to him!!  oooh isn't it funny how boys just love toilet talk.  But it just goes to show what i will resort to, to get a cute photo of Nic.  ha ha ah... He is a real rotter when it comes to having photos taken of him.. he is just at that age! 

I love this second one.  He was starting to get that real belly giggle going..made me laugh!

Congratulations

I have the most exciting news to share with you all tonight!  Adam's younger sister, Claire and her gorgeous boyfriend Eamon were engaged over the weekend.  Eamon took Claire away down south and I think he was very relieved she said.. YES...  ( of course she was going to Eamon..ha ha ha..x)

I have known Claire since she was 10 years old. ( can't believe it's been nearly 15 years) She is one of the most beautiful, kind-hearted people i know.  She is a gorgeous aunty to my kids and they love her so very much.  Claire, Adam and I are so happy for you and know that you and Eamon will have a very special life together.

Eamon was such a gentleman , he got down on one knee to ask Claire to marry him!.. What a sweetie x
